When I purchased my 2011 Mac Mini, which does not have an internal DVD drive, this was a good solution for my disc needs. These USB drives come with their own power supply (in addition to obtaining power from the USB port, if necessary) and they now sell for about $30 in the USA. ![]() I purchased an external non-Apple DVD drive a few years ago, so that I could burn DVD-Dual Layer discs. ![]()
